Great idea! I am going to take this one! We play I Spy with letter sounds in the car and in waiting rooms. We have covered alot of pre reading this way! Happy Schooling!

We've been naming things too at the park just today but in Korean! When I don't have lesson plans to follow, I tend to take more advantage of the things around us. But because it can be sporadic, I need to find a way to be more consistent. By the way, thanks for your recommendations on the robin books! We just read them today and they were fantastic! I might borrow them from the library again in the future.

I don't try to sneak too much teaching – I only do it when Anna asks about something or it's related to the topic of our conversation. Sometimes we talk about colors or shapes or play "witch school" with spelling. We read a good book about nouns lately – I believe it was called, A Mink A Fink A Skating Rink.

This is lovely…. I think that children love to learn new things in this way by making it into a game! Thanks for sharing! Jen x
