Back when we started learning about Paul Klee, I mentioned that we had done three works of art based on his work. Bear’s third and last Paul Klee project was based on a painting I can not find online right now. She made a button tree. First she used chalk pastel for the background of the picture. Then she placed liquid watercolor paint at the bottom of her paper and blew through a straw to create a trunk and branches. She needed help with this because she couldn’t blow hard enough to get the paint really moving. She told me in which direction to blow and I blew for her. Once it had dried, she glued buttons to the tree branches.
