Great activities! I wish we synchronized our MTH units so we can learn from one another but JC likes to read the books too much so we're kind of speeding through them! I might have her read it again when she's older so she can do these projects on her own…that is, if she is still interested in them later.

I've almost tried reading a MTH book to my kids a couple of times, but haven't been able to time finding the right one with our studies. Maybe I'll look to see if they have an Ancient Greece one.

Great Egyptian unit. I especially liked your rolling experiment. Anna was not too interested in Egypt in our latest passthrough – she is still terrified of mummies. I hope that we will eventually revisit Egypt when she is a bit older.

Thank you for posting about the Egyptian activities that you didn't get to! My 13 year old is doing an in-depth unit study of Ancient Egypt. The mummification computer module and experiment to mummify the apple would be GREAT projects for him that he would enjoy. I will add them to our lesson plans in the next two weeks. Thanks!!!

Fun! We did the Nile River model years ago… my kids still remember it.
