I thought that post on Childhood 101 was awesome. I have to find embroidery hoops somewhere one of these days and let Anna try buttons sewing too.

We love embroidery hoops. Alex has been fascinated since she read about it in the American Girl Felicity book, about how girls by age 5 would be expected to create an entire and usually complicated embroidery design.

Love the bead activity and that you are using applesauce containers to hold the beads too! Good idea! Kerri

@Elle Belles Bows – I use those applesauce containers for everything! They are especially handy for painting projects. Or as extra little snack bowls when playgroup comes over (of course the painting ones are kept separate from the food ones!)
