Great choices and thanks for joining WMCIR! I'll have to see if I can get Arctic Son. Our books didn't overlap a lot this time, and I plan to post mine on Wednesday.

The Very Last First Time is a very good one set in the arctic, it's a FIAR book.

Thank you Christine. And we own that one. I just need to find it! It's probably in a box.

Although this isn't for your 3-year-old's age group, your post made me think of the Julie of the Wolves series that I read for myself a few years ago. Some day I will love sharing it with my son, but if you haven't read the series you may like them.

I have read the first book and remember enjoying it. But as you said, definitely not for a three year old:) I'm sure they will enjoy it later though. Thank you for reminding me of it.

These look like great books! We read Way up in the Artic and she liked it. We had previously read another book in the same series about the ocean and my daughter liked it. I am reading Julie of the Wolves right now! To myself, not to my daughter. I like on page 5 or something like that. lol.

This is a great list. I really want to try Artic Son. I love Jean Craighead George. Thanks for the suggestions.
